helping you find peace with food

Meet molly

Hi, I’m Molly Hitesman — a registered dietitian passionate about helping people build a more peaceful, trusting, and sustainable relationship with food.

For more than 11 years, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, and adults navigating eating disorders and nutrition-related concerns. My clinical experience includes supporting individuals with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, chronic dieting, and challenges related to body image and food rules. I also provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for conditions including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and weight-related concerns.

I have dedicated my career to helping clients move away from rigid food rules and toward nourishment that supports both physical and emotional well-being.

My approach is collaborative, individualized, and rooted in meeting you exactly where you are in your journey. Whether you’re beginning recovery, rebuilding trust with your body, managing a health condition, or just looking to create more sustainable habits, our work together is centered on realistic changes that feel supportive—not overwhelming.

I believe nutrition should empower, not control. My goal is to help you feel more confident making food choices, become more attuned to your body’s needs, and develop tools that support long-term health and healing.

Outside of work, you can usually find me reading, running local races, paddle boarding, checking out new restaurants in Richmond, or spending time with my husband and our two dogs.
